Warzone Pacific Season 1 patch notes: Caldera map, vehicles, gameplay updates

When Season 1 kicks off on December 8, all Warzone players can access everything Vanguard has brought to the Arsenal and Barracks:

– 40 weapons: All 38 primary weapons from Vanguard launch, plus two free functional weapons in the Season 1 Battle Pass. All of these can be customized with unlocked camouflage, and each ballistics-based weapon can be further customized with up to 10 attachments via the gunsmith.

– More than a dozen operators: Each of the operators of SOTF 002-005 is ready to join Special Task Force 006 arriving this season …

– Calling cards, emblems and more: Show everyone your progress in Vanguard since launch in Warzone.

At the start of the season, cross-progression between Vanguard and Warzone will be enabled, allowing you to rank through Seasonal Prestige and unlock new content through the Battle Pass and Challenges. Also, expect the store for both games to contain new bundles that contain Vanguard content.

Get ready for the action to heat up both on land and in the air.

Available to all players on December 9, with Vanguard players getting exclusive access to the game on December 8 with Caldera, Vanguard Royale is leading the Season 1 featured playlist rotation with a game mode that features a new set of vehicles and simplified equipment and a pool of weapons on the brand -new map.

Specifically, there are two major differences between a Vanguard Royale and a traditional Battle Royale:

– New vehicles and dog fights. Pilot fighter jets that rain gunfire at enemies or head to AA cannons or trucks to bring them down from the sky. There are other ground vehicles as well, including a Squad Transport all-terrain car that will help your team cross and around the island.

Focus on avant-garde weapons. Loadouts can only contain Vanguard weapons, streamlining the meta for accessibility and room for experimentation. Expect all weapons around the island to be from Vanguard as well. Operator selection is also limited to Vanguard soldiers.

Circle discount changes, in-game events, and more. Circle collapses radii and times are changed to provide a different pace of play, especially with air combat overhead. Also expect an in-game event with every circle collapse, bombing, and different items both in the outside world of Caldera and in contract rewards.

Renaissance island

Vanguard owners will receive 24-hour exclusive access to Caldera, the all-new Warzone Pacific map. During this initial period, all Warzone players will be able to travel to Rebirth Island. After this exclusive period, Caldera becomes available to all players, with Rebirth Island returning later in the first season.

Expect special one-day-only playlists on Rebirth Island – Resurgence and Mini Royale – to drop right at the start of the season before everything hits Caldera for the week starting December 9. .

Over the course of the season, featured playlists will include returns to Rebirth Island for Resurgences and other game modes, and new limited-time modes will focus on Caldera, such as Vanguard Plunder, its own Vanguard mode. Resurgence presented by Beenox, and other festive surprises …

The Finest Points – Innovations and Additions to the Warzone Experience

Vanguard Royale – Explore all new content with air combat, updated ground vehicles

With a brand new map to explore, playlists to achieve victory, and new weaponry to use, expect additional initiatives and gameplay innovations from all the studios working on Warzone – especially Raven Software, Beenox, Toys for Bob, and High Moon Studios – including some takes after listening to community feedback.

Part of the initial wave of content scheduled for the period around the December 8 launch (for Vanguard players) and December 9 (for all players) includes the following:

The Gulag – Come back ready for battle

The Gulag now gives you more than a second chance to win.

When Warzone Pacific falls, any player who wins a Gulag will return with the weapon – or weapons – and deadly equipment given to them during that deadly duel.

Those who survived Iron Trials ’84, the mode in which this feature was first tested, may be familiar with a professional strategy involving load conservation: all remaining ammunition and equipment is transferred between the Gulag. and redeployment. Deal effectively with the enemy and you will have more of them at your disposal in Caldera.

Loading elements and field upgrades

Dead Silence is nerve-racking. The stopping power rounds are gone.

In addition to detailing these exact changes, Raven Software took a close look at various pieces of equipment, such as nerves for stun grenades and heart rate sensors. They also revisited dual-wield melee weapons – the Kali Stick and Sai – to do justice to all of the ghosts who lived too short a second life during The Haunting. The results? Expect the aforementioned equipment and weapons to be adjusted to be less powerful in the war zone, as well as rifle fire no longer being the primary method of attack on the Caldera.

Another change is to load drop markers – they can now only be purchased from purchase stations after the load drop event in a match, effectively shifting their utility from an immediate power spike to a more tactical choice in the middle of the end of the game.

Along with these nerfs, several pieces of lethal and tactical gear will see much-needed upgrades. Most deadly gear will deal more damage, while the Instant Grenade will have its effective radius increased, the Stim will also apply a slight increase in movement, and the Decoy Grenade will wrap rubber bullets that will deal just enough damage to unwelcome enemies.

Gas masks and explosive bombs

Gas masks won’t interrupt as many actions as they once did, making it easier to remove or don your mask, as well as plating or reloading a weapon while exiting the circle collapse – but always prioritizing the advantage of combat for those safe inside the circle.

Gas masks may offer minimal protection against gas cartridges, a brand new item developed by High Moon Studios. If these cartridges explode, they release the same noxious fumes that make up the Circle Collapse, albeit in a much smaller radius.

After you pick one up at Caldera, try lighting the fuse and throwing a canister, or clipping it onto a winch to send a “nice gift” to someone who has passed their welcome on the heights. Alternatively, since it takes both hands to carry it, simply pulling someone wearing it, or dropping the one you are wearing, come out of the blast radius and shoot at it, might make it effective for a few moments of a firefight active.

Shallow water

While operators may not have sea legs at Caldera, they are now able to wade through the shallow waters seen in areas like the lagoon. Walking in water makes it harder to see footsteps, even for operators equipped with the Tracker Perk. Crouch in the water up to your knees and you get the effects of Cold Blooded, but you can’t get down to the ground.

Speaking of science, fire-based gear now produces smoke when hitting water, adding a new layer of tactics when traversing shallow open pools.

Contracts and public events

During a match, teams may find new contracts to fulfill, such as a Supply drop contract, which flies a valuable crate to the map for anyone to pick up, but whose exact location is only revealed by the contracted team.

Another is a Big game premium, which targets the operator with the highest number of kills – but only once per game, while another – known as Top secret contract – is, as one would expect, [[REDACTED]]until you collect it, but it offers greater rewards than the standard loot of the contract types he chooses from.

As for public events, expect Restocking and Resurgences from Rebirth Island to come to Caldera, in addition to the Drops of money event you may have seen during the operation: Flashback. There are also rumors of [[REDACTED]]Weapons crates that can appear around the island, which contain the coveted [[REDACTED]]Shots of weapons seen in Verdansk and weaponry taken from the meta-front galaxy brains of studio gunsmith gurus.

Make sure to get closer to Season 1 with Raven Software for patch notes and other important and detailed updates, as well as at Beenox for anything PC related changes.
