At-home car wash startup Honc raises $400,000 in pre-seed round
honc, an early technology company for door-to-door car washes, announced that it had raised $400,000 in a pre-seed round, led by Amey Mashelkar (head of JioGenNext), Jasminder Singh Gulati (co -founder of NowFloats), Dholakia Ventures, Dr. Raghunath A Mashelkar (Independent Director at RIL), Nilesh Patel (Executive Team, Cisco Systems) and 100X.VC.
The startup, which is a 100X.VC portfolio company and part of Class 06 batch, plans to use the new funds to expand its partner network in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Gurugram over the next 12 months. honc plans to upgrade its technology stack to accommodate gated communities and business parks using location intelligence and user review systems. The company will further deploy capital to optimize partner onboarding, training and security on the platform.

With the growing demand for Honc’s home services, the startup is also expanding its services to reach a wider audience segment in business parks. honc has already recently signed agreements with business/IT parks in three Indian cities, in line with its expansion plans.
Rahul Marwar, Co-Founder and Director of Sales, honc said, “Through our technology and process interventions, we have streamlined onboarding and training processes for our partners. We are also introducing women into the washing segment in business parks. We believe this will free up the important segment of the blue collar workforce.
The company has enabled its partners to increase their monthly income by 100% in the last six months. Additionally, honc’s eco-friendly washes have saved nearly 1,50,000 liters of water each month in gated communities.

Founded in 2020, honc plays an important role in India’s car wash industry, which is largely unorganized and underserved, thanks to its managed market model. The company provides an on-demand mobile solution that meets the spontaneous needs of car owners with a curated selection of trusted and reliable partners.
